Return Residents' Linen

Linen must be:

  • Clean
  • Folded and/or presented neatly
  • Repaired correctly
  • Clearly labelled with residents names
  • Packed neatly onto clean trolleys
  • Where required items are bagged or wrapped correctly

Check linen or items for:

  • stains
  • mending
  • damage
  • missing labels
  • damaged labels (hard to read)

Replace damaged or missing labels

Use clean storage equipment (EG: trolleys and shelves):

  • Cover packed trolley with a clean cover
  • Use manual handling techniques
  • Unload clean linen and store in allocated area or in residents room
